About this event

Miami, FL – October 5, 2018 – The 2nd Annual Wealth and Innovation luncheon, was a celebration of Women, Wealth, Health and the innovative ways in which women have made a positive economic impact in our community and state. This year’s event was hosted by Saks Fifth Avenue, Brickell City Centre, Nicole Shelley Inc. and Merrill Lynch. Each of the ten nominees listed below were treated to a healthy gourmet lunch, a presentation by Wendy Goodyear from American Century Funds and Judy Stevenson from John Hancock. Finally, ten of Miami’s most prominent female professionals were honored for their continued positive impact on our community. Each honoree was gifted with a custom luxury gift box from Saks Fifth Avenue, Brickell City Center.

BIO W&I

Laura Juanes : She is a multilingual law, policy and privacy expert in the technology industry. She currently serves as Director of Privacy Policy at Facebook Inc. She has served as a Board member for the Latin American Internet Association (ALAI) and is a proud co-founder and Board member of the Woman in Tech Miami Council, with a mission to connect and empower women in the Miami tech scene.

Gloria Garces : She is currently serves as Media & Outreach Director for Fuente Latina, an media non-profit organization. In 2014, Garces received the ‘Hispanic Woman of Distrinctiton’ Award and in 2012 she was presented with the ‘Award to the Extraordinary’ in the area od Government.

Laura Maydon : Laura has an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. in Economics from I.T.A.M. in Mexico City. She is the Managing Director of Endeavor Miami, whose mission is to select, mentor and accelerate the growth of high-impact entrepreneurs in South Florida.

Jill Hertzberg : Hertzberg is an expert in selling luxury real estate in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, and has garnered the reputation as one of South Florida’s leading residential realtors. Jill is an avid golfer and is actively involved in the community. She supports philanthropic causes close to her heart such as United Way, the Lymphoma Research Foundation and the Diabetes Research Institute.

Jill Eber : Jill attended Boston University and graduated from The University of Miami with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her success in the real estate area is evidenced by her membership in the Multi-Million Dollar Club for many years. Jill’s real estate reputation and experience brought her in contact with many renowned Miami personalities.
